Strengthening Our Community

Strengthening Our Community (SOC) is an innovative student group that meets once a week for 8 weeks. The purpose is to promote the overall wellbeing of Asian, Black, American Indian and Latino students while exploring various topics regarding diversity and student life. Students who participated in SOC reported with excitement that they felt better connected to other students of color on campus which improved their experiences at Stout.

Strengthening Our Community begins February 24, 4:30-6 pm and meets weekly for 8 weeks. Dinner provided. SOC is available to all MSS students (new, transfer, continuing). This 8 week workshop will meet all activity requirements for Lawton recipients.
