Opening Speaker: Ernesto Mejia
Keynote Title: Family Plus Education Equals Happiness
- During this presentation Ernesto focuses on his journey towards appreciation of family, education, physical abilities, and life in general. Ernesto's journey towards peace and happiness wasn't the typical route. He chose to learn things the hard way, hence the reason he shares his many failures with audiences across the country. It is through his many failures that he learned how to appreciate his successes. Ernesto hopes to enlighten others through his life experiences in an effort to help others avoid the many pitfalls they may encounter during their educational journey.

Envision Speaker- Kao Kalia Yang
Keynote Title: The Silence of Our Realities
- How many people know what our mothers and fathers do for a living, what they have had to do for our lives? I want to speak to the stories that we do not tell each other, give voice to the narratives in our daily lives, so that we can come forth from the silence of our histories and present the world with a clearer understanding of our realities. I believe that through a greater understanding, we can walk toward the future with our families intact.
Empower Speaker/Musician- Bill Miller

Execute Speaker- Phyllis Braxton
Keynote Title: Leading Interculturally in the 21st Century
- Being a person of color is not synonymous with being effective across cultural differences. Most often in the United States people of color have to be aware of how the dominant culture operates both cognitively and behaviorally. This session will will give students of color an opportunity to become more self and culturally aware. This is a necessary step to being an effective leader in the 21st Century.
