Eligibility

Award is based on Financial Need

Interest Rate & Fees

  • Loans disbursed on or after July 1, 2014 will have a fixed interest rate of 4.66%.
  • Loans disbursed between December 1, 2013 and September 30, 2014 will be charged an origination fee of 1.072%.  Loans disbursed between October 1, 2014 and October 1, 2015 will be charged an origination fee of 1.073%.
  • No interest charged as long as borrower is enrolled at least half-time (6 credits)

Awards

  • Your Sub Stafford Loan amount is based on your amount of financial need (as determined by your FAFSA) and your grade level.

Repayment

  • Repayment begins six months after the borrower graduates, leaves school, or drops below half-time enrollment. 
  • Repayment can be deferred or modified under certain conditions.

Master Promissory Note (MPN)  &  Entrance Counseling

If you are a first-time borrower of a Direct Stafford Loan, you need to complete a Master Promissory Note (MPN) and entrance loan counseling (a tutorial and quiz) online at the link below before any loan will be disbursed and credit your tuition bill.
