Grievance Procedure

The Disability Services office at the University of Wisconsin-Stout is responsible for insuring that all students with a disability attain equal access to their higher education across campus.

Students who have questions or concerns regarding equal access and/or a specific outcome, including but not limited to the denial of an accommodation request, should contact the Disability Services office to schedule a review. This meeting will include consultation with Kara James, Director of Disability Services and any other individuals, as the situation necessitates.

If the student remains concerned after the review and/or believes that they are experiencing discrimination on the basis of disability, the student should contact the Dean of Students office to file a complaint.

If the student's concerns were not ameliorated after meeting with the dean of students and/or the student believes that they are experiencing discrimination on the basis of disability, the student should contact the Human Resources office to file a complaint.
