The Disability Services office is identified by the University of Wisconsin-Stout as the office responsible for reviewing and approving reasonable accommodations to insure equal access for students with disabilities.
Students who have questions or concerns regarding the accommodation process and/or a specific outcome, including but not limited to the denial of an accommodation request, may request a review of the situation by contacting the Disability Services office. This review will include consultation with Kara James, Director of the Disability Services office, and may involve others within the office or on campus as the situation dictates.
If, after this review, a student remains concerned and believes that he or she has been discriminated against on the basis of disability, he or she may contact the Dean of Students in a timely manner to file a complaint.
If, after meeting with the Dean of Students, the student continues to have concerns and believes that he or she has been discriminated against on the basis of disability, he or she may contact the Human Resources in a timely manner to file a complaint.
