Identifying Employers for Your Major

How to identify employers looking for your major


  • Identify the day of your major
  • Log into your Stout CareerLink account
    (if you do not yet have a Stout CareerLink account, see below)
  • Click "Career Events" in the top navigation bar
  • Select "Career Conference" in the "Category" field, and then click "Search"
  • In the search results, find the Career Conference day that is specific to your major (either Day 1, Day 2, or Day 3)
  • Click on the blue "Search Employers" link of the day you are attending
  • Enter your major in the search criteria
    • You may also specify the type of position that you are looking for (co-op, full time, part time)
  • Click "Search." You will see a list of the employers coming to the Career Conference looking for your major
    • Click on an organizations name to view details

How to create Stout CareerLink account:


  • Go to the Stout CareerLink log in site on the left side of this page.
  • Click on "Students" and log in using your UW-Stout user name and ID number
  • Fill out the short profile and upload your resume when prompted.
    Note: Once your resume is approved, within approximately 24 hours, you will have access to all of Stout CareerLink's resources.
