Stout Advising Network

What: The Stout Advising Network is an informal advising network at UW-Stout where faculty/staff can share a variety of information throughout the year to help better advise and support students, connect with a variety of individuals across campus, and gain professional development opportunities.

The concept for this network stems from a recent conference presentation that several Stout professionals attended. UW-Stevens Point and UW-Milwaukee have similar networks on their campuses, and it was recognized that Stout could also benefit from such a group.

The direction and content covered is established by faculty and staff members who have chosen to participate in the advising network. The purpose established can be viewed here: Purpose/Goals.

Who: Anyone who advises students

When: The second Friday of the month at 11:15 a.m.-12:10 p.m. during the academic year. Bring your lunch if you wish.

How to get involved: Join us at a future meeting
