Speech Minor

Communication skills are the key to success in your future! Not only can Communication courses help you develop your relationships with friends and family, they also can help you get the job that you want and be successful at that job. The National Association of Colleges and Employers (NACE) ranks Communication skills as the top skill that employers seek, regardless of what field you choose. 

The Speech Communication minor can help you develop your skills in the following areas: Public Speaking, Interpersonal Communication, Group Communication, Intercultural Communication, and Critical Thinking. For more information about the 17-credit Speech Communication minor, contact:

Speech Minor is 17 credits, including the required SPCOM 100 (Fundamentals of Speech) course. Any combination of the courses listed below may be used for the minor, unless otherwise specified.

 

NOTE:  Students must earn a minimum grade of C in each course and have a GPA of 2.5 in order graduate with the minor.
