| Colleges and Universities from across the upper Midwest sent representatives from their Honors Programs to Menomonie in early April of 2008 when UW-Stout's own Honors Program hosted the Upper Midwest Honors Conference. The theme was "Bridges: Connections in Life and Learning." Nationally renowned speaker and author Dr. Henry Petroski delivered the keynote address to a crowd of nearly 200 people from 19 schools. There were dozens of break-out sessions, poster presentations, and even an evening swing dance complete with lessons. | |
