Certification Description

The Quality Management and Six Sigma – Green Belt Certification program addresses certificate methods for improving organizational effectiveness through increased productivity, quality, efficiency, and customer satisfaction.

This certificate is appropriate for staff and line professionals in all facets of manufacturing and service organizations.

The certificate program is designed to provide technical and professional responsibility at the Sigma Six Green Belt level to those in industry. Students in this program are prepared for the American Society for Quality (ASQ) Six Sigma certification through examinations upon completion of a project through their organizations.

 

Who May Enroll

Any person interested in quality management and/or Six Sigma–Green Belt Certification may enroll. To get started, apply online to UW-Stout as a “special” student (non-degree seeking). Applications can be found online: undergraduate students | graduate students.

Requirements

The Quality Management certificate program provides specific and focused content and activities to enable participants to develop competencies and skills commonly required for quality professionals. Completion of the certification program will prepare participants to pursue further credentials in the quality area, including American Society for Quality (ASQ) certification tests. Students earn the certificate by completing the following courses with a B- or better in each course:
