Program Overview

Working in Rehabilitation Counseling you will be helping individuals of all ages with physical, cognitive, and sensory disabilities, to reach their potential. You will assist clients in their decision making processes, as well as facilitate communication between client, family and other professionals in the field.

The Rehabilitation Counseling program is founded on the assumption of worth, dignity and value of all individuals. The program is guided by its mission to prepare rehabilitation professionals who are committed to facilitating the personal, social and economic independence of individuals with disabilities throughout the rehabilitation or habilitation process.

M.S. in Vocational Rehabilitation

The M.S. in Rehabilitation Counseling (formerly Vocational Rehabilitation) program was recently ranked among the top 10 rehabilitation counseling programs in the USA (US News & World Report 2015 edition, America’s Best Graduate Schools), and has been fully accredited by the Council on Rehabilitation Education (CORE) since 1994.
