The Technology Management program was designed for students who have earned an undergraduate degree in technology, engineering, or business. Students with unrelated bachelor's degrees may also be admitted to the program. Depending on the background, students may need to fulfill specified undergraduate deficiencies.
The Technology Management program does not require the GRE or GMAT as an entrance requirement.
To be admitted to the program with full status, an applicant must:
- hold a 4-year bachelor's degree from an accredited college and have an overall grade point average of at least 2.75,
- have two years full-time relevant work experience -- the experience must be described on the application form.
Applicants may be admitted with probation status if their overall grade point average is at least 2.50.
Deficiencies
Deficiencies, or program prerequisite courses, include:
- Production/Operations Management
- Introduction to Accounting
- Manufacturing Cost Analysis
- Engineering Economy
- Statistics
- Technical courses (minimum 12 credits).
There are three ways to meet deficiency requirements:
- Take the equivalent course(s) before coming to UW-Stout.
- Relevant work experience. You may be able to receive credit by examination.
- Take the course(s) your first semester at UW-Stout.
