What do I need to enter the program?

The Training and Human Resource Development program requires a foundation in training systems and organizational leadership through work and/or educational experiences. Prerequisite courses may be taken to fulfill these requirements. Please contact the program director for additional information.

Is UW Stout accredited?

Yes, UW-Stout is accredited by the Higher Learning Commission and is a member of the North Central Association of Colleges and Secondary Schools.

How long will it take?

The program requires a minimum of 30 credits and is designed so you can finish in two years, including summer session.


How much does it cost?

Tuition for the 2014-2015 academic year is $525 per credit, rental textbooks and/or ebooks are included. There is an application fee and a one-time graduation fee.



Am I qualified for the MSTHRD program?

Students are expected to have a background in training and organization leadership. Those without that background should expect to take a class to prepare for the degree.

How long does the admissions process take?

Allow two weeks for all of your transcripts to arrive at UW-Stout. It is your responsibility to request transcripts.

After all of your materials are received the admissions process takes approximately three weeks.



May I transfer credits into the program?

Yes, if the credits are from an accredited school, are masters-level credits and are approved by the program director.
