The minimum requirement is 30 graduate credits. If you need prerequisites, additional credits will be required. The program is designed so that it may be completed in one year including summer school and WinTerM. However, many students take classes part-time while working and that may take longer.
Wisconsin and Minnesota residents planning to attend courses on the UW-Stout campus can view the current rates at http://www.uwstout.edu/stubus/undergradsch.html. An application fee is required, some individual courses require special course fees, and there is a one-time graduation fee.
Yes, if the credits are from an accredited school, are masters-level credits and are approved by the program director prior to your beginning the program. More information about transfer credit is available in the Graduate School Policies.
Yes. Again, the classes must be taken at an accredited institution, be at the masters-level and receive prior approval of the program director.
The classes are scheduled in the late afternoons and evenings. Many meet one night a week.
Weekend classes are available and online courses offer flexibility to working students. WinTerM, offered during January, allows a student to take credits in a compressed time period.
Yes. Classes are offered in several locations in the state. Some are also offered online and can be completed at your work or home. More classes are being added to online offerings.
The Training and Development program requires you to have a foundation in training systems and organizational leadership through life experience or education. If you are lacking that foundational background you will need to take an undergraduate class in these areas. The program director will advise you in this area.
