General UW-Stout Graduate Studies Application Process

All prospective students must follow a standard application processes which includes a general application for graduate study at UW-Stout. This application information is available on the Graduate Studies website.

Additional Application Requirements

The application deadlines for the M.S. in Risk Control program occur on October 1 (for the following spring semester) and on February 1 (for the following fall semester), and must include the following materials:

  • The standard online or hard-copy application-based documents which must be submitted to the UW-Stout Graduate School, and
  • A one-page statement which describes the candidate's academic history, employment history, professional goals and personal development needs. Please e-mail your completed statement to the MS Risk Control Program Director by the appropriate admission deadline. This statement will be used during the admission selection process and, if admitted, during the student's academic advising process.

Please know that the MS Risk Control Program Selection Committee will favor applicants who have a minimum overall undergraduate GPA of 3.00 as well as academic and workplace experience which align with the broad demands of the risk control profession.
