Assistantships and Fellowships

Teaching assistantships are available teaching young children in the Child and Family Study Center, working in the apparel manufacturing and retail laboratories, assisting students in the computer labs, and working under the direction of college instructors in departments within the College of Human Development and the university. In addition, a wide variety of research assistantships are available working closely with faculty on grants and contracts. Both teaching and research assistantship opportunities are expanding within the College.

The Letitia Walsh Fellowship, up to $2,500, is awarded annually to individual(s) who are pursuing a graduate degree in the family and consumer sciences area. To be eligible for this award, individuals must be committed to pursuing advanced study and professional development in the Home Economics program, and have demonstrated leadership ability. Applications are available from the program director. All applications must be postmarked no later than May 1.
