What is Program Evaluation?

Many non-profit organizations and government programs require a formal evaluation to secure grants or other funding sources. Evaluators help such organizations improve their programming through the application of social science research methods. Specific skills include program planning and development, needs assessments, measuring program effectiveness and implementation.
