UW-Stout’s minor in Enterprise Technology prepares tomorrow’s business professional in the design and use of Enterprise Technology. Enterprise Technology focuses on the integration of information and communication technologies that ensures information sharing across all business functions and all levels of management to support the running and managing of a business. Focus on use of Enterprise Technology to support:

  • Business Processes 
  • Big Data 
  • Business Intelligence 

In the simplest sense, Enterprise Technology are ‘umbrella systems’ that have a common point of data organization and storage, data analysis tools and are interconnected through the use of a computing network. Specific examples of Enterprise Technology include:

  • Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP)
  • Customer Relationship Management (CRM)
  • Management Information Systems (MIS)
