Students pursuing UW-Stout's degree in Early Childhood Education are given the unique experience to work with young children in the campus lab school.

The Child Family Study Center, which serves children ages six weeks through six years, offers ECE students numerous opportunities early in the program to observe, plan and teach developmentally appropriate learning experiences in the center. Students enrolled in program-specific courses that introduce developmental theory about young children are able to put their learning into practice — thus offering a rich and meaningful hands on experience.

The center serves as a laboratory school and observation site for Early Childhood Education and related majors at UW-Stout. The center experience allows university students to link educational theory with practice.
