University of Wisconsin - Stout

Students in the Applied Mathematics and Computer Science program have ample opportunities for co-op/intern experiences with companies such as IBM, UNISYS, and Rockwell-Collins. There are normally more positions available than students to fill them. Courses that are prerequisite to co-op/intern experiences are Calculus and Analytic Geometry I, Calculus and Analytic Geometry II, Computer Science I, Computer Science II, Assembly Programming and Data Structures. A student will also more than likely have taken at least two of the following -- Calculus III, Differential Equations and Linear Algebra prior to a co-op/intern.

Currently, co-op/intern students earn an average of $15.81 per hour. These experiences are usually 40 hour work weeks lasting for a semester or a semester and a summer term.

For more information on availability of co-ops, see the Career Services website.
