The Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) in Entertainment Design at UW-Stout prepares graduates for careers in the rapidly expanding and innovative field of digital media. The entertainment design program encompasses disciplines related to the entertainment and media industry, particularly, animation, digital cinema, and comics and sequential art. 

Students may choose one of three concentrations:

  • Animation » The animation concentration will allow students to explore two-dimensional, three-dimensional, character and stop-motion animation techniques, as well as, other experimental and historical forms.
  • Comics and Sequential Art » The Comics and Sequential Art concentration will allow students to explore the traditional and historic comic book and graphic novel forms, as well as, digital comics, motion comics and interactive comics.
  • Digital Cinema » The Digital Cinema concentration will allow students to explore traditional film topics and genres such as editorial, documentary, narrative forms, as well as, explore commercial and experimental uses of cinema technology for commercials, games, and interactive storytelling.
