Why isn't a psychologist included on this list?

An advanced degree is required to become a psychologist.

 

Can I graduate in four years?

Yes. Graduation in four years is possible, including a chance to study abroad and/or including a minor or concentration. The program allows flexibility in elective choices.

 

How long does it take to get a master's degree?

A program generally takes two years to complete.

 

Do I need a master's degree to get a Ph.D.?

No. A strong academic undergraduate background can prepare a student to directly enter a doctoral program. Acceptance into a graduate school is competitive at either level but additionally so for a Ph.D program. Students should have a GPA of 3.4 to 3.7 and have done well on the graduate entrance exam (GRE).
