Certificate Requirements

  • The UW-Stout Certificate is awarded after participants successfully complete the seven-week course.

Refunds***

  • Students who enroll for a class and drop out by the Wednesday prior to the start date of that class will be refunded in full, less a non-refundable $15 administrative fee. Books may be returned to CLS within 30 days from the date of purchase for a refund less the cost of shipping.

  • Students who drop out between the Thursday prior to the class starting and the first Thursday of class will receive a 50% refund on tuition. Books may be returned to CLS within 30 days from the date of purchase for a refund less the cost of shipping.

  • Students who drop out of the class after the first Thursday of the first week of class will receive no refund on tuition. Books may be returned to CLS within 30 days from the date of purchase for a refund less the cost of shipping.  

*** In order for students to receive a full refund on their Materials (Books, DVDs, VHS, Audiotapes), the materials must be returned in the same condition in which they were received, i.e. no markings, highlighting, water stains, still in shrink wrap, etc.

Program Changes and Cancellation

  • The university reserves the right to make changes in programs and speakers or to cancel programs if enrollment criteria are not met or when conditions beyond its control prevail.

  • Every effort will be made to contact each enrollee if a program is not held for any reason.

  • The university's liability is limited to the refund of the program fee.
