The Wisconsin Child Care Administrators Association begin in the spring of
1976. The first conference was hosted in 1979. Our ongoing motivation is the
need for an organization to be committed to the promotion of excellence in
child care administration. WCCAA is active at many local, regional, state and
national levels. WCCAA is also represented on many advisory committees
and boards and provides quality training by hosting a  statewide conference
each year. Our mission is to support each other as child care administrators
in providing quality programming for Wisconsin families.

Wisconsin Early Childhood Association (WECA) was created to meet
the professional
needs of adults who nurture and teach Wisconsin's
young children by offering a rich continuum of
services. Through WECA,
early childhood educators get access to scholarships for higher education,
stipends that reward educational achievements and longevity, opportunities
training and professional development, and a childcare food and nutrition
program that partially
reimburses food costs. Critical to WECA's mission is
initiating and
investing in programs and services that improve teacher
grow the education level of the early childhood workforce, and
increase the average wage for the childcare workforce through skill
professional mentoring and legislative advocacy. WECA is
Wisconsin affiliate of NAEYC and in this role supports the work of our
local chapters.
