  • Examine & understand the nature of fab labs
  • Facilitate pedagogically sound design & instruction
  • Identify opportunities for redesign: reverse engineer     
  • Identify opportunitIes for redesign through reverse engineering
  • Explore the iterative nature of design: brainstorming, drawing, modeling, testing, prototyping
  • Use simple problems to address STEAM concepts and skills

Week long retreat for educators, innovators and makers. Get inspired!

  • Understand how a fab lab can be used to support multi-disciplinary learning

    WiFAB Retreat

  • Experience the engineering design process in solving real-life problems

  • Inspire your students with modeling and simulation with curriculum that meets the standards, develops teamwork and problem solving skills

  • Create "design thinking portfolios" featuring sketches, testing data, prototypes, and presentation materials

  • Develop design thinking experiences for students

  • Join a new professional learning community dedicated to innovative teaching. Beta test the WiFAB Cooperative Portal, designed to serve teachers. Demo features and see what others are doing.

To better incorporate this model at your school, you are encouraged to send teams
of two to three. Discounts will be applied for teams of two or more.

Space is limited! Credit option available soon.
This event can be used toward a Professional Development Plan.

Registration Fee:
$750 for one registrant / $500.00 for two or more registrants from the same school. A light breakfast and lunch is provided. *Note: bring your laptop; other materials will be provided.

Approval for the award of 2 to 3 credits is pending and may involve additional cost.
