Information for Parents on Safety and Security

According to Security on Campus, (a nonprofit organization focused on helping families raise awareness of crime on college campuses), campus life brings a sense of independence for most students. College campuses feel protected because, as a student, they are surrounded by their peers and relatively insulated from the surrounding community. This does not mean that your student is void of becoming a victim. Before coming to campus on move-in day, read the Campus Safety Connection newsletter for crime prevention tips, crime trends and new laws.
