UW-Stout Grounds Department Snow Removal
Requests for work to be performed by physical plant departments must be submitted to the Physical Plant Administrative Office, 103 General Services Building.
When there is an accumulation of one inch or more of snow, icy or extremely drifting snow conditions by 1:00 a.m., a call from Campus Police should be made to the Grounds Department Supervisor, Mike Smith, to determine if and when the grounds people should be called in.
On Saturday, Sunday, or Legal Holidays, the call to the Supervisor should be made after 5:00 a.m.
If the Grounds Supervisor is unavailable, continue down the list and the first available person you reach will make the call-in decision. The person contacted will then call all necessary Grounds staff.

City of Menomonie Snow Removal Policy:
“City sidewalks need to be cleared by noon of the day following the end of the snowfall.” Timing is important when pushing snow out into the street! We try to work with the City but curb cuts can get refilled with snow and it can get pushed back onto sidewalks and into lot entrances as they plow.
City of Menomonie Calendar Parking Policy:
Calendar Parking starts on November 1st. So when you park your vehicle, park it for what the date would be at 2AM. That is the time that we would start enforcement. How the Ordinance reads is:
A. On odd - numbered days, vehicles shall only be parked, stopped or left standing on that side of the street having odd - numbered addresses (WEST side of Streets and NORTH side of Avenues).
B. On even numbered days, vehicles shall only be parked, stopped or left standing on that side of the street having even numbered addresses (EAST side of Streets and SOUTH side Avenues).
C. This ordinance shall only be in effect between 2:00AM and 7:00AM.
D. This ordinance shall not supersede more restrictive parking regulations in effect in the city such "No Parking Any time" and "No parking 2:00AM - 7:00AM." You must still abide by those rules as well.
