UW-Stout Grounds Department Services
Requests for work to be performed by physical plant departments must be submitted to the Physical Plant Administrative Office, 103 General Services Building.
Maintain flowerbeds and planters: Design, plant selection, plant, mulch, prune, fertilize, divide, amend soils and water ornamental grasses, annuals, perennials and bulbs.
Maintain turf on campus lawns and athletic fields: Mow, trim, aerate, seed selection, seed, fertilize, rake, spray and sod.
Plan, design and install landscape projects.
Maintain irrigation systems.
Provide care and maintenance of shrubs and trees: Plant selection and location, plant, fertilize, mulch, water and all related arborist care for proper tree health.
Provide and maintain benches, picnic tables, waste containers and ash urns.
Trash collection and removal on campus grounds, containers and parking lots; cleaning ash urns.
Maintain and service all Grounds equipment.
Snow/Ice removal: Plowing, sweeping and shoveling snow, spreading chloride deicers and salt sand on walks, ramps, curb cuts, commuter parking lots and student storage lots. Highest priority is handicapped accessibility. Our current snow removal policy and procedures are found here.
