The Physics Department transforms students into problem solvers, critical thinkers and good communicators, who display an awareness of and ability to affect their physical environment.

Physics Department research currently includes physics education, atomic and nuclear physics, materials physics, geoscience and neurophysics. We create new knowledge in these disciplines, and involve students in collaborative research projects.
