Parking Information
Parking
on the UW-Stout campus is regulated throughout the entire year, including
during semester breaks. Parking for students attending WinTerM session
classes is available. Please follow the instructions pertaining to
your status as listed below.

You are a student and do not have a parking permit
- If you're a commuter (live off campus) you may park in Lot 29. This lot (and only Lot 29) offers courtesy parking during WinTerM. You don't need to display a permit.
- If you are staying in a Residence Hall during WinTerM, you must pick up a permit for an overnight residence hall lot prior to parking on campus. E-mail Parking Services with questions about availability.
- Caution: Overnight parking (2 AM to 7 AM) is prohibited in Lot 29 and all other campus lots except Lot 4.
- Directions to Lot 29
You are a student with a commuter parking permit
- Display your permit and park as usual during the semester.
- If you are a commuter during the semester but are staying in a residence hall during WinTerM you must park in Lot 4 because your C-Permit is not valid overnight in a commuter lot. Your C-Permit will be honored in Lot 4 during WinTerM.
You are a student with a south campus residence hall parking permit
- The instructions below are ONLY for students staying on campus during WinTerM. If you need to leave your car parked on campus but will not be here contact Parkign Services for a storage location.
- Park in Lot 4 (Only Lot 4 is open during break. Lots 17 and 34 are closed)
- Display your regular Y permit
- If you're staying off-campus during WinTerM you may park in Lot 29 during the day. Lot 29 doesn't require display of a permit during WinTerM session.
You are a student with a north campus residence hall parking permit
- The instructions below are ONLY for students staying on campus during WinTerM. If you need to leave your car parked on campus but will not be here contact Parkign Services for a storage location.
- Park in Lots 6 or 32 (Only Lots 6 & 32 are open during break. Other north campus parking areas are closed)
- Display your regular B permit
- If you drive to class you may park in Lot 29. (During WinTerM session only, Lot 29 does not require a permit.)
- If you're staying off-campus during WinTerM you may park in Lot 29 during the day. Lot 29 doesn't require display of a permit during WinTerM session.
You are a student with a disability
- Contact Parking Services to arrange for a parking space accessible to your classes
