Parking Information

Surplus sale customers are asked to bear in mind that the permit lots on the UW-Stout campus are reserved for the staff and students who purchase permits to park. Those lots are not public parking areas. Please respect that they have paid for that parking space and need access to their lots while working and attending classes. The same is true for the short-term customer spaces near the University Services Building. They are reserved for brief use by customers of University Services Building offices.
Surplus Sale Parking Options:
- Metered parking in UW-Stout Lot 14 directly across Broadway St. from the University Services Building.
- Municipal meters located on Broadway St., Main St., and 2nd St. W. Each of these locations provides parking within a few minutes walk from the surplus sale.
Loading Parking:
- Customers may drive to the University Services Building and park near the loading dock to load purchased items.
- While loading, please be considerate of the access needs of university vehicles parked in this area including service vehicles and police squad cars. Take care not to block these vehicles or the drive lanes around the University Services Building.
- The surplus sale staff will help you to identify an appropriate loading area.
Parking Enforcement:
- Parking regulations will be enforced as usual during surplus sales.
- These regulations include the requirement to display a permit in permit lots, payment of meters, posted time limit, and prohibitions against parking in drive lanes, yellow zones, or on campus grounds.
