Summer Permits
The information below provides details about summer parking permits on the UW-Stout campus for:
Commuter (you live off campus) Permits
All campus parking requires display of a valid permit or payment of a meter throughout the year, including the summer.
Summer commuter permits are available beginning in the first week in May.
- If you already have a Commuter Permit it is valid through August 15th.
- If you parked in a residence hall during the school year but will be living off campus during the summer, you may exchange your residence hall permit for a commuter permit at no cost.
- If you don't currently have a permit you may apply for and receive a permit through the mail <application form> or stop by Parking Services prior to parking on campus. Please e-mail Parking Services with questions.
Residence Hall Permits
All campus parking requires display of a valid permit or payment of a meter throughout the year, including the summer.
Summer residence hall permits are available beginning in the first week in May.
- If you already have a current year south campus residence hall permit, it is valid through August 15, 2007.
- If you had a north campus residence hall permit during the school year but will be living on south campus during the summer, you may switch to a south campus permit from Parking Services at no cost.
- If you lived off campus during the school year but will be living in a residence hall during the summer, you may exchange your commuter permit for a residence hall permit at no cost.
- If you don't currently have a permit you may either request a permit by mail <permit application> or stop by Parking Services when you arrive at school. If you wish to purchase your permit through the mail, please send your request two weeks before you need your permit. A permit must be displayed prior to parking on campus.
One Week Permits
If you are attending a short term class during the summer you may purchase a weekly parking permit. From Parking Services. You should contact Parking Services prior to arriving on campus and allow time (two weeks) to allow for mailing of your permit.
Short term parkers are also welcome to use metered parking on or near the campus.
