Spring Break Parking

The two key things to know about Spring Break Parking are:

  1. Residence Hall year-permits are not valid during Spring Break.  If you wish to leave a vehicle on campus during Spring Break you must pick up a special permit (free) from Parking Services and park in a designated Spring Break lot which may be different from your regular lot.  Vehicles not displaying a Spring Break permit will be cited and towed.
  2. Commuter lots and meters continue to be enforced as usual during the semester.

Residence Hall Students

Resident students will be asked to park in an area other than their normal lot to facilitate maintenance and snow removal in residence hall parking lots.  Resident students who wish to leave their vehicle on campus over Spring Break must pick up a special Spring Break Permit from Parking Services.  You will be assigned a parking area (different from usual) at that time.

Non-residence hall students who need to leave a vehicle on campus

Students who live off campus, but need to leave a vehicle in a campus parking lot during Spring Break, should e-mail Parking Services to make those arrangements.

Faculty and Staff

Faculty and staff should continue to park in a parking lot where their standard permit is valid.  Staff and visitors must also continue to purchase time at a meter when parked in a metered area.

Call Parking Services at ext 1792 to make parking arrangements for your visitors, just as you would when class is in session.

If you're out of town, and need to park a vehicle on campus overnight, call Parking Services to make that arrangement.  Your regular staff permit does not authorized overnight parking unless you're the driver of a fleet vehicle.
