Permit Replacement Policy
Permit holders are responsible for the security of their permit. Permits that have been lost, misplaced, or stolen may be replaced at the discretion of Parking Services. There is a substantial cost associated with permit replacement.
If a permit has been lost/stolen:
- Contact Parking Services immediately to request a temporary replacement. Permit holders are responsible for displaying a valid permit at all times while parked on the UW-Stout campus. You cannot park on campus until you've obtained and displayed a replacement permit.
- A permit holder must file a lost/stolen permit report with the University of Wisconsin-Stout Police Department.
- After filing the lost property report you will be directed to Parking Services and issued a temporary replacement.
- Prior to the expiration of your temporary permit, return to Parking Services to request a permanent replacement.
- A replacement cost will apply to all replacement permits unless the police investigation verifies forced entry to your vehicle. Evidence of forced entry is considered a mitigating factor in determining replacement cost.
