Mopeds

Your vehicle is a moped if it is licensed as a moped. If so, "MOPED" will be printed on your Wisconsin license plate.
Mopeds are not required to display a permit when parked in the following areas:
- In the area of a bicycle rack
- In an area authorized by Parking Services
- Mopeds must not be parked in an area that blocks pedestrian traffic or access to buildings.
- Any vehicle (including a moped) parked in a designated motorcycle parking area must display a valid permit.
- Caution: Although mopeds may park in a bicycle rack/area a moped cannot be operated on a pedestrian walkway or campus bike route. You must walk your moped from the curb of a city street to the bike rack. Failure to do so is a violation of both university regulations and state traffic laws
