Stanley D. Goetz, CPC, CSI
Assistant Professor, University of Wisconsin-Stout
Stan is a Certified Professional Constructor and has worked in the construction industry throughout his undergraduate work in numerous areas of construction. He has preformed engineered wood product design and sales at Wisconsin Truss Inc. Stan continued in construction upon graduation as a project manager and assistant safety director on commercial and industrial construction projects. Stan has been a member of the Construction Specification Institute and has served as Chapter President, Past President, Awards Chairman and Vice President of Education for the Chippewa Valley Chapter. In 1997 Stan returned to the University of Wisconsin Stout to teach Construction Estimating. He obtained a faculty position in 2000 and has the rank of Assistant Professor.
He is the University of Wisconsin Stout Student Construction Association Co-Advisor and is an active member many other university committees. Example’s are the University Weather and Fire Committee and University Safety and Workers Compensation Committee and is serving as Chair. Stan teaches a full load of construction related courses in the construction program, which include Architectural Graphics, Construction Technology, Light Building Construction, Orientation to Construction, Construction Scheduling and Cost Control, Construction Estimating II, and Concrete and Masonry Technology.
Brian J. Finder, DIT, CIH
Associate Professor, University of Wisconsin-Stout
Dr. Finder’s educational background includes a BS in Industrial Education and a MS in Safety from UW-Stout, a Doctorate of Industrial Technology from the University of Northern Iowa, and accreditation as a Certified Industrial Hygienist by the American
Board of Industrial Hygiene.
Brian currently teaches various courses within the Department of Operations, Construction and Management, which includes Human Factors Engineering/Ergonomics, Fleet Risk Control Management, Principles of Occupational Safety/Loss Control, Field Problem in Risk Control, and Seminar in Risk Control. He also teaches a series of five courses, which help public as well as private traffic safety education instructors to become certified by the Wisconsin DPI and/or DOT.
Prior to joining the Risk Control Center faculty in January of 1995, Brian spent ten years as a safety and industrial hygiene technical support professional for high-tech, heavy/light manufacturing, agricultural, and food processing-related industries.
In 2003, UW-Stout’s College of Technology, Engineering and Management recognized Brian for his teaching excellence.
His current professional society/association affiliations include membership with the American Industrial Hygiene Association (currently serving on the Ergonomics and Construction committees), is a member of the Chippewa Valley Technical College Truck Driving School Advisory Committee, is a member of the American Board of Industrial Hygiene, and serves on the Board of Directors for the Wisconsin Driver and Traffic Safety Education Association.
