Seminar: Safety & Risk Control Best Practices in Laoratory/School Shop Environments
Students interested in credit need to contact 715-232-2693 for the tuition amount.
Credit students must register for both the course and the workshop.
The reduced workshop fee for credit students is $20.

Course Description: Overview of best practices that are intended to reduce the risks that are inherent to a laboratory/shop environment. Specific content areas will include government safety-based regulatons, common hazards assessment and control practices, machine maintenance/guarding, and safety training/documentation.

Undergraduate students will be required to develop a safety inspection program in outline form that can be implemented at their institution. Graduate students will design a safety training and documentaion process with specific steps for safe equipment use and personal protective equipment.

Program Changes and Cancellations
The university reserves the right to make changes in programs and speakers or to cancel programs if enrollment criteria are not met, or when conditions beyond its control prevail. Every effort will be made to contact each enrollee if a program is not held for any reason. The university’s liability is limited to the refund of the program fee.

Refunds
Refunds will be assessed a $30 processing fee. No refunds will be made after the start of a program. Substitutions may be made at any time.
