2008 Presenters

Dave Andrae is a story teller and practitioner of ceremony and ritual.  He has studied with the Oglala Lakota of Sout Dakota, the Yaqui of Arizona, and the Dani and Lani stoneage tribes of Irian Jaya in western New Guinea.

William Broughton has been teaching tai chi for over nine years to participants of various age groups.  The style he teaches is a modification of the Yang tai chi form.  The gentleness and slowness of this form facilitates healthy growth of the participant's body, mind, and spirit. 

Eric Christopher works in private practice in marriage and family therapy, past life regression, hypnotherapy and releasement therapy.  He has led many workshops in the past six years.  He is actively serving as the research co-chair and is the treasurer on the board of directors for the International Association for Regression Research and Therapies, Inc.

Lisa Cory is a fiber artist, an independently ordained minister, and a health educator with the Wisconsin Initiative to promote healthy lifestyles.

Julie Geigle is a nationally certified hypnotherapist with special training in Clinical Hypnosis through the National Guild of Hypnotists.  She also holds a masters degree in education from Viterbo University in LaCrosse, WI.  She also operates an online service called Wisconsin Wellness Directory.com and hosts Wellness Clubs throughout the month to help people learn more about holistic care.

Warren Lang has been practicing Buddhism for twenty years in the Zen Buddhist tradition, studying with Steve Hagen, head teacher at Dharma Field Zen Center in Minneapolis.  He received lay ordination from Hagen in 2001.  Warren has also attended retreats with the Vietnamese Zen teacher Thich Nhat Hanh.  Until his retirement, Warren taught English and Eastern Philosophy at UW-Stout.

Richard Marano is a NGH certified hypnotherapist and a certified pain management practitioner.  He is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin at LaCrosse, Leidecker Institute of Hypnotherapy, and the Banyan Hypnosis Training Center in St. Paul, Minnesota for Advanced Techniques.  He is a member of the National Guild of Hypnotists, the International Association of Medical and Therapeutic Specialists and the Office and Professional Employees International Union, Hypnotist's Division of the AFL/CIO.

Thomas Roberts is an experienced and creative therapist that values healing quality of care.  He approaches therapy from an integral mind-body approach.  He has written several publications and articles and has provided several workshops, seminars and trainings.  Topics have included hypnosis, family therapy and education, team building, and drug free workplace.

Bob Salt is a Professor in the department of Human Development and Family Studies at the UW-Stout.  He also coaches the women's tennis team.  He is also an Interfaith Minister at a local Interfaith church. 

Rosann Slagel's desire for a world where everything and everyone has a place and a value had lead her to many classes and seminars over the past 15 years.  Rosann has taught over 30 Discovery level classes and facilitated hundreds of personal sessions at the Helios Wellness Center in Menomonie, WI and at other Midwest wellness centers and seminars.

Russell Swonger has over 40 years as a Native healer.

John Williams, Ph.D. is acquainted with the tradition on companionate spirituality and he has given previous talks on this subject as well as some direction on the practice.  He is also a practitioner.

Jennifer Zech is a certified white belt NIA instructor in addition to being a nationally certified Clinical and Sports massage therapist.  She teaches and practices in Menomonie.  She received her NIA training from the Core El Centro in Milwaukee, WI.
