Health Science Occupations

The School of Education at University of Wisconsin-Stout offers courses for teachers licensed in the State of Wisconsin who wish to complete the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction 911 Health Science Occupations Certification. The courses will be offered online. The course sequence will focus on competency-based courses taught by University of Wisconsin-Stout faculty or adjunct faculty. These courses are open to anyone, however, individuals seeking the Health Occupations certification MUST have a current Wisconsin teaching license in one of the following three areas: Family and Consumer Science Education, Health Education, or Life and Environmental Science Education. Note: There is a sequential order to the course work; the Foundations of Health Occupations Education and the Careers in Health Care need to be taken prior to the Curriculum Planning in Health Science Occupations.
