University of Wisconsin-Stout
Menomonie, Wisconsin

University of Wisconsin-Stout, serving 7,000 students, is located in Menomonie, Wisconsin, 60 miles east of the Minneapolis/St. Paul metropolitan area. Beautiful lakes, streams and woods surround Menomonie, a city of 15,000 providing a wealth of year-round outdoor activities.

The majority of the conference sessions will be held in the Memorial Student Center on campus. To view a campus map go to: http://www.uwstout.edu/guide/map.pdf. While on campus, participants will be able to enjoy campus recreational opportunities including tennis, bowling, racquetball, billiards, indoor and outdoor track. Also, rental of recreational equipment (bicycles, golf, fishing, basketball, etc.) and purchase of university special events tickets will be available.

Within walking distance of campus is the Red Cedar Trail, a beautiful walking/bike path; Wilson Park where the historical Ludington Guard Band performs community concerts on Tuesday evenings; and the Mabel Tainter Memorial, a historic 110-year old Victorian era theater.

Saturday Arrivals
To accommodate reduced fares, on-campus lodging is available on Saturday, June 12, 2010. The cost is $17.00 double/$22.00 single. If you are interested, check the box for Saturday lodging on the registration form and include the cost in your payment.

On-campus Lodging
On-campus lodging (double occupancy) and meals are included in the standard fee of $495.00. Roommates will be assigned if no preference is indicated.  Each room has 2 twin beds, with bedding provided. There are shared bathroom facilities and semiprivate showers on each floor. The dorms are not air conditioned. Single room occupancy is available for an additional $45.00.

Off-campus Lodging
If you choose to use lodging off-campus, there are several motels/hotels within easy driving distance of the campus.  Individuals need to make their own arrangements and provide their own transportation to campus. For a list of local lodging, please click here.

Local Restaurants

For those who choose not to eat the meals on-campus, there are several restaurants within walking distance and within a short driving distance. Local restaurants can be found by clicking here.

Transportation
The nearest airports are the Minneapolis/St. Paul International Airport (1 hour 15 min) and the Eau Claire Airport (45 min).
