University of Wisconsin-Stout Will Meet a Critical Need
for Head Start Teachers to Complete Bachelor’s Degrees
in Northern Wisconsin
With the federal legislation mandate requiring Head Start teachers to earn their bachelor’s degrees by 2013, University of Wisconsin-Stout is meeting a critical need by bringing their nationally recognized Early Childhood Education degree program to Head Start teachers living in Northern Wisconsin starting in 2009. Courses will be offered in a convenient, accessible way to allow for degree completion while working full-time. UW-Stout's Early Childhood Education program prepares instructors to teach in a variety of settings including infant toddler, preschool, kindergarten and primary grades 1 through 3.
