International Undergraduate Admission

  1. Complete the International Student Application for Admission. The application can be found here or completed online.

  2. Application fee of $94.  Please submit payment in U.S. dollars, check or money order drawn on a U.S. branch bank.

    • If you submit an e-application online you can log in again and submit payment. 

    • If you are attending the ESL Institute as part of a conditional admission, the application fee is $94
  1. Proof of English proficiency through a TOEFL score (school code #1740) of at least 173 computer-based, 500 paper-based or 61 Internet-based; or a score of 5.5 on the IELTS. Official scores should be sent directly to UW-Stout. If you have successfully completed an ESL program affiliated with UW-Stout (see navigation at left), you do not have to submit these scores.

    TOEFL or IELTS scores (Test of English as a Foreign Language). Official score report, photo copy not acceptable.

    If you are planning to attend the University of Wisconsin-Stout’s English as a Second Language Institute a TOEFL or IELTS score is not needed. Please let us know if this is an option you would like to pursue.

  1. Documented evidence of sufficient financial resources and assurance that the additional funds necessary to meet all expenses for the time it takes to complete a degree program will also be available.

    More complete and official documentation concerning how you will finance your education. Please submit amounts in U.S. dollars. Please attach official letter from bank indicating the funds are available. Please indicate what relationship you have with the sponsor listed.

  2. Official transcripts (translated into English) from all secondary and post-secondary schools attended. Official school records showing courses and grades earned. Must include all schools attended. All transcripts must be completely translated into English. Photo copies or scanned copies not acceptable.
  1. Select an area of study from majors offered at UW-Stout. Art majors and Game Design Development majors must choose a concentration.
  1. Please submit a copy of your passport page which shows your correct name.
  1. Your permanent address in your home country.
