Name: Tyler Michaletz 
Hometown: Aitkin, Minn. 
Awards, honors: Stout Scholars Scholarship, Best of Design Show 2015, graduating magna cum laude 

Why did you choose UW-Stout? The university’s great graphic design program, real-world learning setting and the polytechnic focus.

What are the biggest challenges you faced in earning your degree? Finding the appropriate balance between life, work and school.

What stands out among your college experiences? Finding my campus organization, Street Level Ministries.

What’s next? Jenae Everson and I are starting our own design studio in Menomonie after we get married this summer.

Why did you choose UW-Stout? Because of the graphic design program and the experience I would gain during that program.

What are the biggest challenges you faced in earning your degree? Figuring out how to properly prioritize life, school and work.

What stands out among your college experiences? The feeling of finishing projects and walking away satisfied with what I have done.

What’s next? Tyler Michaletz and I are starting our own design studio in Menomonie after we get married this summer.
