Air Force quintet to perform free concert Nov. 9 at Harvey Hall

The Midwest Winds, part of the United States Air Force Band,
will perform at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 9, at UW-Stout’s Harvey Hall Theatre,
721 Third St. E.
Admission to the concert is free and tickets are not
required. Presented in partnership with the UW-Stout Symphonic Band, the event
is for all ages.
The Midwest Winds
woodwind quintet is an ambassador of the Air Force Band of Mid-America,
featuring professional musicians to honor the work of the Air Force and to
honor the country. The group offers a wide range of musical literature,
including classical, contemporary, marches, patriotic crowd-pleasers and light

to honoring veterans and active duty military members in 10 Midwest states.
Other upcoming musical performances on campus are the Blue
Devil Jazz Orchestra, 7 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 11, in the Great Hall of the
student center; Symphonic
Singers and Chamber Choir holiday event 7 p.m., Saturday, Dec. 2, at Our
Savior’s Lutheran Church; and the Symphonic Band winter concert, 2 p.m., Sunday, Dec. 3
in the Great Hall.
