State education group honors Dittmann for community service

UW-Stout’s Wendy Dittmann was honored recently by the Wisconsin Association of Career and Technical Educators during its 76th annual state conference in Appleton.

Dittmann, director of the bachelor’s degree program in management, received the Community Involvement Award for “leadership in programs and activities that promote community involvement.”

Dittmann is president of the Stout Community Association of Career and Technical Educators, has served on the Menomonie school board and is active in other projects and organizations on and off campus.

Two others with UW-Stout ties were honored at the conference. Jude Marion, a member of the Stout Community Association and a retired Menomonie school district employee, received the Lifetime Achievement Award. Jay Fahl, a UW-Stout alumnus, and his employer, WESTconsin Credit Union, received one of 11 Business Friends of Education awards.
