Early Childhood Education Conference to draw a crowd

April 23, 2012

The 34th UW-Stout Early Childhood Education Conference, one of the biggest annual events on campus with about 900 attendees expected, will be held Thursday through Saturday.

The event focuses on curriculum ideas for children, from birth to eight years old. It attracts parents, infant and toddler caregivers, preschool teachers, kindergarten and primary teachers, curriculum specialists and administrators.

More than 90 presentations, including many by UW-Stout faculty, are scheduled in various buildings. Also, a vendor fair will feature 20 exhibitors.

Early childhood education has been a long-standing program specialty at UW-Stout. The school has offered a bachelor’s degree in the field since the 1960s, graduating about 2,600 students.

Registration remains open online; attendees also can register in person. For more information, including a list of speakers, click here.
