Public input sought for new sustainability film-speaker series

April 10, 2012

The organizers of a new film and speaker series at University of Wisconsin-Stout are seeking program ideas from the public.

The series will focus on environmental, social and economic aspects of sustainability. Program topics could be related to food, transportation, energy, waste, water and other issues. The programs will be held during the 2012-13 academic year.

“We are interested in suggestions from the community as to which films and speakers we should select for this event,” said Sarah Rykal, UW-Stout sustainability coordinator.

Sponsors also are being sought to help fund the nine-month series.

UW-Stout’s Environmental Sustainability Office and Ally Initiatives are coordinating the series along with Sustainable Dunn and Tainter Menomin Lake Improvement Association.

Send suggestions to Rykal at rykals@uwstout.edu or call 715-232-5254.
