University of Wisconsin Stout | Wisconsin's Polytechnic University
That’s how employers describe UW-Stout graduates. Our innovative, career-focused degrees combine applied learning and the liberal arts.
A new edition of “About Stout,” a half-hour recorded informational video produced at the University of Wisconsin-Stout, has been completed and is available for online viewing.
The video features Doug Mell, executive director of communications and external relations, interviewing Chancellor Charles W. Sorensen and Amy Lane, director of the UW-Stout Career Services office.
Topics include the new art and design majors approved by the Board of Regents, recent large private donations the university has received, and the recent 2010-11 employment report that showed 98 percent of our recent graduates were in the workplace.
The video is streamed on the Internet and can be seen at http://www.uwstout.edu/content/lts/streams/melld/aboutstout120403.wvx.
The show also is on more than a dozen public-access cable channels in Wisconsin and Minnesota. The show can be seen at 9 a.m. Tuesdays and 7 p.m. Wednesdays on the public-access channel — channel 96 on Charter Communications — of Chippewa Valley Community Television, CTV, in Eau Claire.
The show has been produced at UW-Stout since May 2007.
