Figure Skating Club’s annual show Friday at Dunn County Ice Arena

February 27, 2012

The UW-Stout Figure Skating Club will put on its annual show from 6:30-7:30 p.m. Friday, March 2, at the Dunn County Ice Arena.

A total of 10 students will perform, according to club President Kelsie Suppes, of Lakeville, Minn.

“We encourage people to come because we want to show them what we can do and have been doing all year,” Suppes said. “It’s good entertainment. There aren’t a lot of opportunities to see live figure skating shows.”

The show will feature a large group routine, along with small group and solo performances.

“Spectators can expect to see different jumps, spins and various footwork set to music,” Suppes said.

Other students set to perform are: Glory Aulik, of Green Bay; Kayla Cleveland, of Coon Rapids, Minn.; Sky Cordell, of Riverwoods, Ill.; Kyle Fields, of Roseville, Minn.; Natalie Meurer, of Fond du Lac; Katelyn Norgaarden, of Rosemount, Minn.; Anne Rathman, of Canon Falls, Minn.; Katie Schmidt, of Merrill; and Jackie Winnekins, Plymouth, Minn.

Admission is free. Show donations will be accepted. The concession stand will be open.
