A presentation by a UW-Stout alumna will be among the highlights of the sixth annual student Hospitality Career Conference Tuesday, Feb. 21, in the Memorial Student Center.

Brooke Sabel, a 2002 graduate in hotel, restaurant and tourism management, will present “Passion, Palates and Passports: Careers in the Wine and Spirits Industry,” during an executive workshop from 10:30-11:30 a.m. in the Cedar and Maple rooms of the student center.

Sabel is wine director at Natirar, a luxury resort in New Jersey, and has held other high-profile positions in the wine industry.

A total of 50 companies will have representatives at the fair, which runs from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the Great Hall of the student center. Companies with jobs and internships available include restaurants, golf clubs, hotels and resorts, including many national chains.

Phil McGuirk, associate professor in the School of Hospitality, and the student chapter of the Club Managers Association of America are coordinating the event.
