Art professor busy with book, logo design work

Alex DeArmond, assistant professor in the School of Art and Design, has had a busy 2011-12 academic year creating art in addition to his teaching duties.

DeArmond is designing a series of print-on-demand books called "Afterword" for the Canadian Center for Architecture in Montreal. He also is involved in designing:

•   Books for Chronicle Books in San Francisco. He has just completed two and is working on a new one.

•   An identity for the Asian American Psychological Association.

•   Two book covers for the University of Illinois Press.

•   The identity for Eat Ramen Help Japan, a fundraiser for disaster relief benefiting Second Harvest Japan.
